Saturdays Events

9-3pm at the Port Townsend Farmers Market.

One of the largest small town markets in the nation.  Winner of Washington State’s first ever Farmers Market of the Year award.  Over 70 regular vendors featuring: a broad array of organic produce, pastured beef, chicken, eggs, line caught salmon, artisan and farmstead cheeses, jams, breads, pastries, ciders, wine, beer, herbs, honey, clams, woodfired pizzas, raw foods, flowers, coffee, lavender, soap, pottery, handmade clothing, art, felt goods, music and much more.

Plus special guest vendors: Hama Hama Seafood, Wild Sage Teas, Chocolate Serenade, CB’s Nuts,

10- 2pm  Chef’s Demos

At the Port Townsend Farmers Market Music Stage. Hosted by renowned Chef Arran Stark of Jefferson Healthcare.  Former executive chef of Portland’s famed Andina, and graduate of the CIA, Arran is also an in demand cooking teacher with a flair for the dramatic and and great sense of fun.  Arran and guest chef’s will be giving free cooking demo’s all day at the farmers market.  Learn to cook local and seasonal and taste it too.

10-5pm  Artisan Food Making Classes

with the Cedar Root Folk School in the Port Townsned Community Center next to the market. LEARN TO MAKE: CIDER, CHEESE, KRAUT, SOURDOUGH. $20 each, or day pass for $65. Learn More and sign up on the Cedar Root Folk School website.

5-7pm  Local Food Dinner Reception

with authors Kurt Timmermeister and Leora Bloom at the Ravenscroft Inn.  Catered by Hadley Nye and the Food Co-op.  Come meet the authors, enjoy a reading and taste the multicourse meal of the best of a Olympic Peninsula food and drink.  $50 per person.  or recieve 10% off if you buy dinner and book a room at the Ravenscroft Inn.  Purchase tickets on Square Market.

8pm- 11pm Local Cocktail Crawl.

Head down the hill to downtown Port Townsend’s Cellar Door: a  underground speakeasy style restaurant and bar that is known for its creative mixolgists.  They will have a half dozen new creations for Artisan Food Festival goers, all based on local spirits, ciders, brandies, ales, herbals and paired with creative local bites.

Sunday Artisan Food Tour

Visit our local food artisans at their facilities. Start in historic Port Townsend and head out into the wild Olympic Peninsula our at least the farms of Jefferson County. 10am- 4pm.  TOUR ITENERARY:
