The Uptown Street Fair celebrates 27 years of fun in Uptown and includes great local music, the Port Townsend Arts & Crafts Fair, the Jefferson County Farmers’ Market, tasty food on the street, free art activities for families and much more. This year, come join in the Main Street Town Portrait Community Photo Shoot at 10am at the historic Fire Bell Tower.

Come hang out with your Uptown businesses and neighbors for the day at this colorful community event. The Arts and Crafts Fair and Farmer’s Market begin at 9 am; children’s activities follow from 10 am – 3 pm, and music from 10 am – 5 pm. The Uptown Pub is hosting an outdoor beer garden. The “GRANDLY LOCAL PARADE” is at 2pm. Come make a day of it in historic, pedestrian-friendly Uptown. Lawrence Street and Tyler Street are closed for the Street Fair, as well as the Farmer’s Market location on Polk Street. Bring your appetite—there will be delicious local food vendors at the event.

The Port Townsend Main Street Family Portrait—Community Photo Shoot

Gather at 9:45 am near The Fire Bell Tower for the Town Photo, which will be shot promptly at 10 am—don’t be late! The picture will be shot by David Conklin of David Conklin Photography (Conklinphoto.com). The poster will be designed and printed by Mike Kenna of Printery Communications. Posters will be available ($10 each) later that afternoon during the Uptown Street Fair at the Main Street information booth. Special thanks to Printery Communications, Port Townsend Police, Sunrise Coffee and Main Street’s volunteers for assistance at the event.

The Uptown Street Fair is coordinated by the Port Townsend Main Street Program, a 501c3 nonprofit. The entertainment features Stars of Tomorrow winners Emillia Nunn and Forrest Brennan, the Port Townsend Summer Band, Happenstance (Celtic musicians), Steve Grandinetti, Anami and Jim Nyby and The F Street Band, with more acts to be announced.

2 pm, GRANDLY LOCAL PARADE! Be a part of the fun! It’s one of the shortest and most colorful parades in the Northwest! Original trophies have been created by Jeanne Moore, owner of Potpourri NW Interiors. Awards presentation immediately following the parade. Meet by the East Jefferson Fire & Rescue Station, No religious or political entries please.
