Caroling in the streets, in-store treats, many shops open later. Treelighting/Santa visit. Santa arrives by vintage fire truck Engine No. 3, to Haller Fountain to light the tree! Sweepstakes winners announced. Gallery Walk, PT Shorts, many special events. Shop and dine in town during this kick-off to the holidays.

Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 2pm (till 8pm) Victorian Yuletide Salon

Get into the Holiday spirit this year with at the Victorian Yuletide Salon in Port Townsend. Stroll amongst the charming shops of Port Townsend amidst the Victorian Lights celebration sponsored by Port Townsend’s Main St. project. Dickens carolers serenade you as you walk the old buildings and new streets.

Stop in at the Victorian-style parlor at 1007 Water Street to put in a good word with Father Christmas or grab a hot toddy at our Olde Time Convivarium. Savor tasty snacks and help deck the halls local performers sing, play and recite all your holiday favorites. A great opportunity to come relax, warm up, and recharge before heading out to finish your holiday shopping. Collection spots for Toys for Tots, Center Valley Animal Rescue, and the Winter Homeless Shelter of Port Townsend will be available.

The event also features a “People’s Choice” Holiday Window Contest. The public is invited to vote for their favorite holiday window display in the Uptown and Downtown Historic District. Stop in at the Yuletide Salon to pick up a ballot. Those who bring back the ballot will get a treat.

December 21, 2012 5p-10pm  Solstice Celebration of Light–A Progressive Art Open House

Celebrate the solstice with a holiday potluck at the American Legion Hall. Bring a dish, and enjoy music and healing through Reiki and massage. Inspirational poetry readings will take place in the lobby of the Bishop and Palace Hotels, Elevated Ice Cream and Pippa’s Tea Room.
