2012 Jefferson County Farm Tour

On Sunday, September 16 from 10am-4pm fifteen working farms will open to the public for the 10th Annual Jefferson County Farm Tour. The farms on this free, self-guided tour span many productions systems, including dairy, meat, fiber, fruit and vegetable.

“Visiting these stewards of agricultural heritage affords community members the opportunity to get to know their farmers and offers visitors the enriching experience of engaging with Jefferson County farms through taste, smell, sound and touch,” says Dr. Laura Lewis, WSU Jefferson County Extension Director.

In addition to touring the farm properties, visitors will enjoy an assortment of educational demonstrations, live music, family-friendly activities, as well as plentiful opportunities to engage with farmers that produce their food.

Jefferson County Farm Tour is a free event, taking place on Sunday September 16, 10am-4pm on 15 farms throughout East Jefferson County. “Farm Tour Central” will be located at Chimacum Corner Farmstand (9122 Rhody Drive, Chimacum) from 9:30am-4:30pm.
